Top Parking FAQs

  • The quickest option is Short Term Parking, which is a short stroll from the Terminal building and check-in, in both Terminals 1 and 2
  • The next best option is Express Red Car Park, which is on-campus, with 8,000 spaces and only a 5-minute shuttle bus trip away from the Terminal 1 and 2 buildings.
  • Express Red Car Park
  • Holiday Blue Car Park
  • A bus departs every 10 minutes from the Express Red Car Park, and drops passengers to the Terminal 1 and 2. 
  • The journey time is approximately 5 minutes and the bus service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 
  • A bus departs every 15 minutes from the Holiday Blue Car Park, and drops passengers to the Terminal 1 and 2. The journey time is approximately 10-15 minutes and the bus service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The system will accept pre-bookings up to 3 hours prior to the expected time of arrival at the selected car park.

You can book in advance up to two years before your entry date.

If you park without pre-booking, the charges are as follows:    

  • All Short Term Car Parks: €3.00 for the first hour, €4.50 for every following hour  and a maximum charge of €40.00 a day  
  • All Long Term Car Parks: Express Red - €9.50 a day & Holiday Blue - €8.50 a day

COVID-19 FAQs

There is no requirement to take a ticket or use the car park pay stations to pay for your parking. Dublin Airport Car Parks operate contactless entry and exits at all car parks. You can enter and exit any car park by using your debit/credit card or your payment enabled mobile phone.

Upon entry to the car parks, simply tap your debit/credit card or payment enabled mobile phone and the barrier will open. Upon exit, you can pay for the duration of your stay by tapping your debit/credit card or payment enabled phone. This contactless facility is available up to a maximum of €99.

Licence Plate recognition is used in all Dublin Airport Car Parks when you have pre-booked your car parking on dublinairport.com. The entry and exit barriers will automatically open by reading your car registration number. Alternatively, you can also enter the car park booked by tapping your debit/ credit card or payment enabled phone that you have used to make your online booking. (You must use the same debit / credit card or payment enabled phone). Simply tap your debit/credit card or payment enabled phone and the entry barrier will open. Upon exit, simply tap your debit/credit card or payment enabled phone and the barrier will open also.


 

There is no fee for amending or cancelling your booking. However, daa must receive notice of your requested changes at least 6 hours before the stated start time and date of the parking period.

Upon exit, simply tap the same debit/credit card or payment enabled phone and the barrier will open also.

3. If for some reason the barrier does not lift there is a digital display screen located at the barrier with a phone number that you can contact for assistance. The press intercom facility is still available for those who wish to use it and is regularly sanitised, however we encourage you to use gloves if possible when using this facility.

4. All passengers should wear a face mask throughout their full airport journey. Passengers should bring their own face mask from home, but if they forget to do so, masks will be available to purchase from vending machines and other outlets throughout the airport.  Children under the age of 13 will not be asked to wear face masks and passengers who have a valid medical reason will also be exempt. Please dispose of your face masks in the general waste bins provided.

5. The luggage trollies available are regularly cleaned and sanitised for use.

6. Before entering the lift to the Terminal we ask that you use the hand sanitiser available outside of the lift.

7. All escalators are regularly sanitised.

Your Journey from the car park to the Terminal

4. Please follow the floor markings that have been put in place to maintain social distance while queuing for the shuttle bus at the bus shelter.

5. Social distancing measures have been applied to the seating layout onboard the bus, together with plexiglass screens and hand sanitiser units. These buses are regularly sanitised and we ask that you use the hand sanitiser units at the bus shelter or onboard the bus before taking your seat. Standing room will no longer be available on the car park shuttle bus to maintain social distance. When departing the bus please maintain your social distance from other passengers.

6. All passengers should wear a face mask throughout their full airport journey. 8. Only passengers with a valid boarding pass are permitted to enter the Terminals and you may be asked to present your boarding pass to a member of staff on entry.

9. If you are unsure of your return date or would prefer not to tap your card you can still pull a ticket to enter the car park and either present it to a payment machine or the exit machine to pay the parking charge.

Refund Queries

Should you wish to cancel your booking or any part thereof you should do so using the "Manage My Bookings" section here.

  • You will require your unique Pre-booking reference number and the email address used to make your booking in order to access your booking.
  • daa must receive notice of your requested changes at least 6 hours before the stated start time and date of the parking period.
  • The card used to make the online booking will be automatically refunded.
